Whenever i upload a photo off of my digital camera into photoshop, the color is different, for example a wooden board i took a picture and was brown, ended up kind of orangish.

It may not be Photoshop, it may be the way your screen is adjusted. In other words, what you see on the screen isn't the true color picked up by Photoshop.
